Holotype: Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde, Stuttgart (SMNS), Germany type material of Gasteracantha fornicata hundeshageni Strand, 1907 destroyed 1944 - (Renner, 1988b)
It is widely assumed that most of the type material from Simon can be found in the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris, France -
