N.B.: this spelling (not Lipistiidae) on the Official List of Family and Generic Names in Zoology; considered a senior synonym of Heptathelidae Kishida, 1923: 242 by Raven, 1985a: 16, confirmed by Breitling, 2022a: 3 and Sivayyapram et al., 2024b: 254 (by majority vote of the WSC boards), rejecting Petrunkevitch, 1939a: 149, Haupt, 1983: 289, Li, 2022: 72 and Kulkarni, Wood & Hormiga, 2023: 485, f. 5; Kishida, 1923: 242 erected the subfamily Anadiasthothelinae, which became a synonym of Liphistiidae by the synonymy of the type genus Anadiastothele Simon, 1903 with Liphistius  Schiødte, 1849 by Bristowe, 1933a: 1030 (by transfer of the type species).
