Pickard-Cambridge, 1884) is preoccupied in Aves by MacGillivray, 1839; Regillus was replaced with Regillulus [urn:lsid:nmbe.ch:spidergen:04926] by Strand, 1942: 399; synonmy of Borboropactus with Regillus considered by Simon, 1895a: 1055; synonymy of Regillulus with Borboropactus considered by Roewer, 1955c: 752 (see also Bonnet, 1955: 902 and 1958: 3848); Borboropactus was originally described in Bradystichidae (now a synonym of Pisauridae); placed in Borborpactidae fam. nov. by Wunderlich, 2004m: 1738, family status in fact rejected by Benjamin et al., 2008: 717 (including the Borboropactus clade in the Thomisidae), confirmed by Benjamin, 2011: 8; as Borboropactinae by Wheeler et al., 2017: 588.
