N.B.: a larger composition of the genus was discussed by Lehtinen, 2002: 322, but no species was formally transferred; considered a senior synonym of Proxysticus Dalmas, 1922: 91 [urn:lsid:nmbe.ch:spidergen:04532] (type Thomisus lalandei Audouin, 1826; treated as a genus by some authors, e.g., Jézéquel, 1964c) by Lehtinen, 2002: 322 (confirmed by Breitling, 2019a: 202, 203); Wunderlich, 1987a: 253 considered the subgenus Proxysticus as a junior synonym of Psammitis Menge, 1876 and Wunderlich, 1992a: 495 resurrected Proxysticus, but this was not followed by Wunderlich, 1995F (see also Lehtinen, 2002: 320, 322 and Jantscher, 2002: 331).
