N.B.: considered a senior synonym of Amaurobioididae by Platnick, 1974: 211; transfer of the monotypic subfamily Malenellinae Ramírez, 1995 to the Amaurobiidae by Wheeler et al., 2017: 605; mentioning of "Anyphaeniens" by Simon, 1864: 94, but the French ending -iens was not accepted as taxon at familiar level by Bonnet and Platnick, and this continued here.
