N.B.: downgraded to a subfamily of Nemesiidae by Raven, 1985a: 79 and revalidated by Opatova et al., 2020: 701; redefined and transfer of 12 genera from Nemesiidae by Montes de Oca et al., 2022: 11; furthermore Montes de Oca et al., 2022: 14 define five subfamilies: Pycnothelinae, Diplothelopsinae Schiapelli & Gerschman, 1967, Pionothelinae Indicatti, Montes de Oca, Opatova, Almeida, Pérez-Miles & Bond, 2022 (new subfamily), Prorachiinae Indicatti, Montes de Oca, Opatova, Almeida, Pérez-Miles, Bond, 2022 (new subfamily) and Pselligminae Mello-Leitão, 1923 (elevated from tribe).
