Pickard-Cambridge, 1893: 158 were treated as a separate family Coelotidae by Ono, 2008: 163, but this was not accepted by later authors and Platnick; Cryphoeca and Tuberta were transferred from the Agelenidae to the Hahniidae by Lehtinen, 1967: 225, 272 and to the Cybaeidae by Wheeler et al., 2017: 606; Blabomma, Chorizomma, Cicurina and Mastigusa were transferred from the Agelenidae to the Dictynidae by Lehtinen, 1967; Chorizomma, Cicurina and Mastigusa were transferred to the Hahniidae by Wheeler et al., 2017: 607; Blabomma was transferred to the Cybaeidae by Wheeler et al., 2017: 606 as well as Mastigusa by Castellucci, Scharff & Luchetti, 2023: 6; Chorizomma and Cicurina were transferred to the Cicurinidae by Gorneau et al., 2023: 11.
