N.B.: a diagnosis has not been presented (see Lehtinen, 1967: 290-291, 340 for comments); family name predated by Cybaeodinae Simon, 1893, but that name has remained unused; considered a subgroup of Zoridae by Wunderlich, 2008c: 486; the family is not monophyletic per Kulkarni, Wood & Hormiga, 2023: 521, f. 19.
