N.B.: the authorship of the family was first corrected from Ausserer, 1867: 140 to Simon, 1864: 95 (sub Filistatiens) by Zonstein & Marusik, 2019b: 55; the French ending -iens was not accepted as taxon at familiar level by Bonnet and Platnick, and this was continued in the WSC until the arguing by Marusik & Özkütük, 2026: 276; devided in the subfamilies Filistatinae Simon, 1864 and Prithinae Gray, 1995: 80 (Zonstein & Marusik, 2019b: 56, confirmed by Magalhaes & Ramírez, 2022: 557).
