N.B.: Considered a senior synonym of Thaididae [urn:lsid:nmbe.ch:spiderfam:0145] and Hickmaniidae [urn:lsid:nmbe.ch:spiderfam:0144] by Forster, Platnick & Gray, 1987: 25, contra Lehtinen, 1967: 269 and Marples, 1968: 30. Thaididae was firstly used in spiders by Lehtinen, 1967: 269, but Thaididae Jousseaume, 1888 in Gastropoda has priority (contra Murphy & Roberts, 2015: ix, who regard wrongly 1880 [which is only the year of description of the genus Thaida Karsch, 1880] as the first year of description of Thaididae) (see also Tubbs, 1987).
